This album documents my involvement in music since about 1995. These were mainly taken in Turkey and Doha, Qatar and I hope to continue playing in Kas, Turkey now that I am living here.
Robert College
I played in a band called Jerry and the Blue Ticks and with many students in Arts Festivals in my time at the College. Sadly I don't have too many photos from this time.
Doha, Qatar
The first Mojo was formed by Al Burn and I in 2004 We were quickly joined by Kevin Henty (to form a trio Mojo Lite) and later Mark Carter to form a full band Mojo. This group played in various places around Doha with a regular slot at the Ramada Hotel and played the first Dunestock in 2005!
A feature of Mojo (and me) was to encourage people to join in

and we played with many different people. For me the Folk Club at the Doha Players allowed even more opportunity to encourage we we saw many people gain confidence performing and then forming their own groups.
Fusion was the thing and we created a cool soul band (Soul Syndicate) with a coming together of the Blues and Jazz musicians in Doha.
The first Dunestock in 2005 was something that gave me a great deal of satisfaction as, not only did we achieve a full-on festival in the desert, but I saw many of the youngsters and others who I had encouraged perform well in front of a large audience.
In 2006 Al left the Mojo, then Kevin Henty and Mark Carter left the country…. It looked like Mojo was finished. But a brilliant young guitarist, Harry Higgs joined up, Geoff Mews (a superb musician) wanted to play bass and a young American Drummer (Billy McLeod) was looking for a band, so a new Mojo was formed and continued until Harry and I left Doha at the end of the year.
Again I played in Turkey in various bars and am now trying to form a group to play regularly.
We may start work on developing a local festival (a KasStock) so watch this space.
